Two-hour blocks are preferred for maximum focus and productivity.

Four hours is the maximum that can be booked in one day, as productivity and creative focus typically decline beyond that point.
-
No — songs are completed across a series of 2-hour sessions rather than a fixed project fee.
Every artist requires a different level of time and detail. Some songs are completed in just a couple of sessions, while others require more time to complete their vision. Charging per session ensures flexibility and fairness depending on what the track needs.
-
There isn’t a fixed answer — it depends on the song.
Factors include:
Clarity of the vision
How prepared the artist is
The starting point of the track
The level of detail required
How well prepared the vocalist is (if recording vocals)
Jono works extremely efficiently and has completed songs in 1–2 sessions for some artists. Others prefer a more detailed approach which may take 4–5 sessions or more.
Please note: Mixdown & Mastering is a separate process from production, writing and recording. It requires its own dedicated session to ensure a polished, release-ready master file suitable for upload to streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.).

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners through to advanced producers.
Sessions are conducted in Ableton Live. While the software focus is Ableton, most techniques and concepts are transferable to other DAWs.
